We welcome 4-legged guests who are at least one year old. A charge of £15 per dog per stay applies. You’re welcome to relax in the bar with your pooch and you can dine from our main menu, but we ask that dogs are not taken into the restaurant. Please contact our reservations team directly to book your stay.
As a family business, it’s a pleasure to welcome younger guests to The Dog and Doublet.
Yes, we have 11 bedrooms in total (1 four poster, 1 family room, 6 doubles, 1 twin and 2 singles) and offer a special rate for weddings. We’re a short drive from Sandon Hall, The Boat House at Aston Marina and Weston Hall and a 10 minute car journey from Moddershall Oaks. Usually, we will ask for card details to guarantee the booking but will not take any payment. For some special rates we may require a deposit or full payment on booking.

Yes, we have plenty of free parking available on site.
We are located in the village of Sandon, just a 10-minute drive from J14 of the M6. Our nearest railway stations are Stone (10 minutes by car) or Stafford (15 minutes by car) which is on the west coast mainline. We are also within an hour’s drive of East Midlands, Birmingham International and Manchester airports.
Check in is from 2pm. There is someone on site 24 hours a day, so you can check in whenever suits you after that time.
If you contact our reservations team the day prior to arrival, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Unfortunately, on occasion we may not be able to arrange early check in.
We strongly recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.
Yes we can, all our menus feature extensive allergen information and as all our food is freshly prepared we can adapt dishes to accommodate dietary requirements or allergies. Please do let us know on booking if you have any dietary requirements or allergies so we can best prepare for your visit.
Our bar is open until 11pm but you can order drinks via room service after this time if you wish.
Yes, room service is available 24 hours a day. You will find a copy of the menu in your room.
In line with current government regulations, the bar is open until 10pm.
Our last seating time is 9pm on Monday through to Saturday. On Sundays we stop serving at 5pm.
Yes, we serve breakfast each morning from 8am to 10:30am for non-residents.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day (so they say). Here at The Dog & Doublet, it’s served in the restaurant from 7am until 10:30am on weekdays and 8am until 10:30am on weekends and bank holidays.
We ask that guests check out by 11am. There’s no need to rush off though, why not join us for lunch in the bar or restaurant before heading home?
